Goal Planning Monday ~ Busy Times Ahead

We are too busy mopping the floor to turn off the faucet.  ~Author Unknown

That is so true. It is how I felt all week. I didn't get much done. I didn't feel like getting much done. I felt like escaping. I had one really good day when a friend came over to visit. The visit was to short though. It always is.

The rest of the week I read books and played on my computer and watched movies. We also spent some time in the basement as we had a tornado warning one day. I spent a lot of time turning my computer off and on because we have had multiple thunderstorms each day. It is supposed to last at least through Tuesday. I guess when the weather man posted his summer thoughts for the east coast he was right on. More rain than usual and more summer storms than usual East of the Mississippi. It sure has been true so far.

The main thing this coming week will be to get busy with school stuff. I have multiple things to work on from last year and things to work on for next year. And... I only have 3 or 4 weeks to get them done. I would like to start on July 22nd but I may not be ready in time. I am not going to drive myself crazy... so I will take the days as I can and pray I don't have an emotional breakdowns to slow me down this week.

Important Note... Please go and get the buttons for your post from the Goal Planning Monday tab to put in your post for this week. I noticed this past week that the buttons were linked to the wrong place. Don't just copy and paste the button from you post from last week. You need to get the new code so it links to the right place. It was linking to Think Back Thursday... my other meme. Sorry about that. If you feel like it you can go replace the buttons from the other weeks since we switched to my blog. If you don't want to that is fine. It should only be a couple weeks worth.

Also... It is not a requirement to comment on each others blogs but it would be nice to encourage each other. Please try and come back and check who else links up and go comment on their blog post. And comment on mine as well, we ALL could use some building up and community.

My top priorities are marked with a *

My goals for this coming week:

Spiritual Goals
  1. *Morning Devotions - including Bible reading, prayer, listening to music and reading a spiritual One Thousand Gifts: A Dare to Live Fully Right Where You Arebook. Prayer will be a focus this year as that is my word for 2013. I am reading One Thousand Gifts: A Dare to Live Fully Right Where You Are by . I am done reading Praying God's Word but still have plenty of verses to read over and pray back to God. Do the study of the Book of John from Hello Mornings. Done- I mostly read One Thousand Gifts but I felt I needed it. So much. It speaks to my heart in this trying time. It's a God thing that I decided to read it now.
  2. Read through Proverbs each month in the evenings. Not Done - I do want to get back to reading Proverbs. I think I may be giving up on doing the Hello Mornings study of the book of John. I will try again this week to do both and see how things go. If I don't succeed I will be dropping the study of John.
  3. Participate in the Joy Dare in 2013. Writing down 3 things each day that are gifts from God, things to be thankful for totaling more than 1000 gifts in 2013. Done
Homeschool Goals

No goals for homeschool this week. If I got something done it would be a bonus. Done - I did look further at the Philosophy Adventures program and the suggested supplements and decided to buy one of them. I also briefly looked at where we are for History.

Fitness Goals
  1. *Exercise 2-3 days 15 min each time. I hope to work up to doing much more than this. It is time to get serious about my health. Hubby has already started working on his diet, though he can't exercise until after he gets his other stent in. Not Done - I hurt my leg on Monday while rushing around getting things ready for the hospital. So, I couldn't exercise. I could hardly walk. I didn't go to the Dr. I am pretty sure I just pulled a muscle in my calf. I hope I heal soon. It is feeling better.
  2. Get my Weight Watchers dessert made... I hope. Not Done - I need cocoa now. We are out. We have some dark cocoa but not regular. I wasn't sure it would taste good with the dark cocoa so I skipped it. Don't want to waste ingredients.
  3. Eat fruit and veggies and drink water. Partly Done - I drank water. I ate veggies at dinner some nights. I don't think I ate any fruit. We don't have anything but red delicious apples and I HATE them.

Happy Birthday to your son! I hope you had a wonderful time celebrating!

I just sent you an email about my GPM post for next week. I didn't want you to think that I was skipping again this week.
