after you read my goals.

Goal Planning Monday has a new home - the banner above will take you to the new home for Goal Planning Monday @ Real Life Unscripted even though it says ti is @ mamamanuscripts. I changed the link to send you to the new place.

This was an OK week. I got some things accomplished but some things came up that were not on my goal list and so I did not get all my goals completed. Monday we did do out outing and had a great day together. Tuesday my hubby had a Dr. appointment and wanted me to go with him... that took up the whole morning. Wed. he decided he and I would go back to Longwood Gardens alone. On the way there it started to rain so we did the conservatory first since the flowers are all inside and we could enjoy them without getting wet. When we got done the conservatory it had stopped raining so we went and took pictures of the tulips outside. I am not sure what I did on Thursday, logged in books I guess, but I don't remember getting much done. Friday I had Ladies Bible Study in the morning and then my friend Michele came over. We spent most of the afternoon chatting and having a great time. I spent most of Saturday starting on spring cleaning, I started with my bedroom. Sunday was church and then in the evening we watched Chariots of Fire, our last movie for Movies as Literature.

In between all this activity I got some of my goals accomplished...

My Goals from last week and how I did:
Spiritual Goals
  1. Devotions daily - for the next few weeks, or however long it takes, I will be doing How People Change and How People Change Study Guide: How Christ Changes Us by His Grace. I have wanted to work on this and have not had the extra time. It has a lot of scripture, especially in the homework of the Study Guide. I will not be writing in my journal. I will be writing in the study guide.  Not Done  Sad Smileys I am sorry to say that I did not do my regular devotions one day last week. I did read God's Priorities for Today's Woman for ladies Bible study 2 days for devotions but that is all I got accomplished.
  1. Listen to Godly Music Daily, as part of my morning Devotions. Not Done
  2. Pray daily. Get the requests from my internet friends, Growth Group and Ladies Bible Study put onto notes and into my prayer book. Partly Done - I am doing well with writing down requests from my online friends and putting them in my prayer book but I still have not written out the Growth Group prayer requests or the Ladies Bible Study ones. I also want to get the church prayer list and put the whole thing in my prayer book so I remember to pray for those needs as well.
  3. Read Power of a Praying Wife and leave hubby a note for each chapter I read. He needs the extra prayers and encouragement. http://zaazu.com    Not Done
  4. Read chapter 15 " All to Give Him Glory of God's Priorities for Today's Woman for Ladies Bible Study this coming Friday. It is our last chapter of this book. For the summer we are studying some women of the Bible. The ladies of our group will be taking turns, giving our regular teacher a break for the summer. Done - We are finished the book. In May 2 ladies will be teaching on some women of the Bible. All I have to do to prepare for class is to read the chapter(s) of the Bible that pertain to that woman.
  5. Read some of A Morning Cup of Prayer for Friends. Done - I actually finished this book last night before bed. It was pretty good. I would not have purchased it, but since it was free it was ok. It was worth my time, it is a short book, and it refreshed my desire for praying for my friends.
  6. Read some of My Utmost for His Highest - supposed to be doing before bed each night... I am way behind. Done
Homeschool Goals
  1. Keep Christopher doing all 12 workboxes. Partly Done - homeschooling has been difficult lately. I have plans to go gung-ho this week. I made the boys put their computers in my room last night so that we start off the week right.
  2. Get Nathan to do all his school. We discovered, after a family conflict, that Nathan is finished a couple of subjects as far as his required hours. So he is concentrating on the subjects he has left. Even though he has less subjects to complete he is not getting them done daily which means he is further behind. If he wants to graduate in May he will have to get a move on!! Partly Done
  3. Keep up with logging in the boys work and grading as we go through the week. Partly Done- I will be spending time working on this while the boys do school and after school if necessary.
  4. Spend time on our Astronomy Unit. Done
  5. Read more library books on Haydn. Done - Christopher read on his own last week.
  6. Get the essay done for A Man for All Seasons. Not Done  Sad Smileys I am very sad that the boys did not get their essays for A Man for All Seasons done last week. I will be working with them today to try and get them done while we work on the questions for Chariot's of Fire. I hope to help them complete their essays no later than tomorrow.
  7. Read a book about Homeschooling. I am working on The Ultimate Guide to Homeschooling by Debra Bell. This is a yearly goal and I want to do better on those goals this month. Not Done
Blog Goals
  1. Post Blast From The Past on Tuesday. Not Done  Sad Smileys I just didn't feel like it and nobody really missed it since no one has been joining me.
  2. Join in some favorite memes that I like to do and try and leave comments on a few blogs of those who link up. I will not be tracking my linking up but want to do it to encourage others to comment on my blog as well. Not Done  Sad Smileys I just didn't feel like it last week. Maybe this week will be better.
Personal/Other Goals
  1. Spend today, Monday on a field trip with my family. Done- we went to Longwood Gardens and then my son Christopher paid for us to go eat at Shady Maple (I threw in a little too from my birthday money from last June.)
  2. Comment on all the other GPM ladies posts. Keep track of their names with links here so I know whose I have done.  Not Done - I didn't even remember to go back and link up until today. She had not posted when I did and after I posted it I forgot all about coming back to link up.
  3. Log books into Book Collector software... at least finish the box of school books I had been working on... it is in my way. Done
  4. Read, Read, Read! I am currently reading Daughter of Joy (Brides of Culdee Creek, Book 1) by Kathleen Morgan. That link goes to the FREE (for now) Kindle version that I am reading on my Nook. This link Daughter of Joy goes to the print version. I have books to read aloud for History and Science, for homeschooling, and I need to keep working on Emma by Jane Austen. I have a few books I am working on and would like to finish some of them up. Done - I finished Daughter of Joy and read some of Emma.
  5. Make sure the kids keep up with chores and cooking. My hubby is back to eating gluten free, so that threw a wrench in my cooking plans. I need to work on my menus for April and figure out some things to make my hubby that are gluten free. I will also need to help the kids to create some gluten free dinners or do dad's meal separately until we get things planned and worked out. They all seem to need help with this. Partly Done
  6. Figure out what to do about the Saturday chores and get at least some of them done. Not Done
  7. Scrapbook - either digital or paper. I will not be setting a goal to do both, though if I can fit both in that would be fun. Not Done
  8. Work on saving my computer files to our backup drives. I started this last week, but it is taking considerably more time than I thought it would. I need to do this more often so it doesn't take so long. Not Done

For this week that is 8 Done, 5 Partly Done, and 11 Not Done

Sounds like it was a very busy week. Ours was like that too, and this week didn't start out that great since I didn't feel well.

Spring cleaening is on my to-do list as well!

Have a great week!
