Gratitude Challenge - Day 1

Today is the first day of the Gratitude Challenge hosted by Brenda at Garden of Learning.

Where to start being thankful. Well, though it may seem cliche I must start with my salvation. Without my Abba Father loving me with an agape love, caring about me enough to send His only Son, holy and perfect, to imperfect earth, to us where would I be.

Without my Lord and Savior where would I be. Without Him dying on the cross to save my sins I would still be lost and without Christ, alienated from God, bound for Hell, and hopeless. Now I am called, redeemed, justified, made righteous, an heir with Christ, free from the law of sin and death, sanctified... and much more. I have a new song, a new hope, joy, contentment and much more.

Romans 5:6 "For when we were yet without strength in due time Christ died for the ungodly."

Romans 5:8-9 "But God commendeth his love toward us, int that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him."

Matthew 28
1 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. 2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. 3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:  4 And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. 5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. 6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. 7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you. 8 And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word. 9 And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.

God, Yahweh, sending His son, His one and only son, Jesus, to live and die, to shed His blood for me, a sinful being, has to be one of the most awesome-est blessings ever.
