Success is 10% inspiration, 90% last-minute changes. ~From a billboard advertisement
That is so true... and so funny. Last minute changes are the name of the game at our house. Life is so unpredictable. You never know what a day will bring. Prov. 27:1
The main thing this coming week will be to get my hubby through his second surgery on his heart. His heart catheterization is Monday. We have to be at the hospital at 11am. He has a 70% blockage that will get angioplasty and a stent. The last one he had about a month ago was 95% blockage and we had no idea what to expect when he went in for the catheterization.
Tuesday he will come home from the hospital and I have to coordinate taking my son to work as well. The rest of the week I will be driving my son to work, or at least accompanying my hubby if he feels ok to drive... so that will make me extra busy. Hopefully my daughters will take over the cooking and I can just help with clean up. It will be a stressful week. So, I will have limited goals for this coming week. Prayers are appreciated today.... and as my hubby recovers. Follow me on Facebook, or follow my blog. I will be updating there throughout the day.
My top priorities are marked with a *
My goals for this coming week:
Spiritual Goals
- *Morning Devotions - including Bible reading, prayer, listening to music and reading a spiritual book. Prayer will be a focus this year as that is my word for 2013. I am reading Praying God's Word: Breaking Free from Spiritual Strongholds by Beth Moore. I am almost done Praying God's Word as far as the reading goes. I will be using the prayers for the rest of the year. Do the study of the Book of John from Hello Mornings. Done - I finished Praying God's Word and started reading 1,000 gifts... see link and picture below in next week's goals.
- Read through Proverbs each month in the evenings. Partly Done - I am behind in this. Have to figure out some system that will work for me to get both Proverbs and John done each day.
- Participate in the Joy Dare in 2013. Writing down 3 things each day that are gifts from God, things to be thankful for totaling more than 1000 gifts in 2013. Done - I am enjoying this even more now that I am reading the book.
- Take a look at Philosophy Adventure. A curriculum I won. I will probably use it for Christopher next year. Done - this looks like a lot of work for my son, but hopefully he will enjoy it as well.
- Get the Science booklets from last year put onto the file folders. Done
- Work on the Portfolio for last year's school. Done - lots more to do but I have made a start at least.
- *Exercise at least 3 days 15 min each time. I hope to work up to doing much more than this. It is time to get serious about my health. Hubby has already started working on his diet, though he can't exercise until after he gets his other stent in. Partly Done - can't remember if it was one or 2 days I got done this past week.
- *Make at least one Weight Watchers meal/dessert/snack. I WILL do this this week. Not Done - the tongue sticking out is to myself. Can't believe I didn't make time to do this.
- Eat fruit and veggies and drink water. Done
- Comment on everyone's blog that links up to the Goal Planning Monday linky. Done
- Post reminder and future themes for Think Back Thursday on Wed. Done
- Post Think Back Thursday. Done
- Comment on each person's post that links up for Think Back Thursday. Done
- Post some good content, written by me, on my blog. Not Done
