Goal Planning Monday ~ Week 32

It is Goal Planning Monday!!
How are you doing with your goals??

Click on the button above to view all the Goal Planning Monday links and find out how to join up with us.
Last week was better than the week before but still not as good as I had been doing. We are getting back into the swing of doing school after 3 weeks of stress, tears, earthquakes, and hurricanes. It is still difficult since dd Rachel is using the dining room table (our "normal" place to do school) for quilting. We are in the living room doing school. Also my mom is still visiting so that makes things more complicated. My hubby is unemployed, we didn't have anything planned for today, and we have had enough days off already this year so we are doing school today. Today is one of the best days of school we have had since the first week of school. The boys should actually get all 12 workboxes done!!! Yeah! If this keeps up this should be a great week for getting stuff done.

Well now on to the goals...

My Goals from last week and how I did:
Spiritual Goals
  1. Catch up with Reading the Bible in a Year... I am behind by more than a week now. Partly Done I have started catching up and hope by next Monday to be all caught up. Keep on keeping on and don't quit. I am nearing the end of Ezekiel... I should be in Hosea, I think.
  2. Read Power of a Praying Wife and leave hubby a note for each chapter I read. He needs the extra prayers and encouragement right now. Not Done This is a priority this week.
Homeschool Goals
  1. Keep homeschooling and do better even with my mom here, we have been struggling. Partly Done As I said we did better last week. Not great... but better.
  2. Work on Portfolios. Not Done Instead I cleaned up my room. Things were still a mess in there from moving things around trying to protect stuff in case of broken windows from the hurricane. Having a clean bedroom makes my hubby happy and makes it easier to get things done in there since my bedroom is also my office and my hubbies office as well as my craft spot. Because it serves so many purposes it can get messy really quickly. I hope to work on portfolios this week while I watch movies with my mom in the living room.
  3. If I have time I also want to work on planning History. We are done with Mystery of History 3 and I need to keep ahead on the planning before I don't have any idea what to do next. Done. I worked on this Sunday afternoon. Things are progressing but there is still much to do.
Health and Fitness Goals
  1. Get back to exercising, 3 times this week hopefully. Back to it today. Not Done. This is priority 2 for me this week... priority 1 will be seen below. I already started back to exercising today. I gained a little over 1 lb since I last exercised 2 weeks ago... not bad considering the pizza and chocolate cake from Costco I ate.
  2. Drink water 3-4 of my white and pink 16oz. cups full. Done. Water is not my problem... snacks and desserts are.
  3. Get back to eating more healthy. Not Done. Ate all kinds of stuff I should not have eaten. Need to get some more Weight Watchers stuff, some more fruit and some yogurt that I like.

Blog Goals
  1. Get my Having a H.E.A.R.T for your Child post written and posted. Done.
TOS Homeschool Crew Goals (I am not on the crew any more but have to finish up my responsibilities... 4 review)
  1. Get my Having a H.E.A.R.T for your Child post written and posted. Done.
  2. Play Flea Circus with my family again. Try and get my hubby and daughter Jessica to join us. Not Done. Going to play today with the family.
  3. Play Civilize This... our other review item... also a game... it looks fun. Not Done. Going to play today or tomorrow with the family.
  4. Keep doing Rooted and Grounded for Bible.  Done.
Personal/Other Goals
  1. Clean the house and get it ready for my mom to come. Pathways especially need to be clear so my mom does not trip. We have stuff everywhere because of us evacuating last weekend. Done. The house looks great!! Mom is safe from tripping as long as we keep our laptop cords out of the way.
  2. Time with my mom. Done. Encouraged her to use her cane, even in the house and to take a walk each time she gets up for the bathroom. I hope she keeps it up when she goes home. She really needs some exercise before she gets even weaker than she is. We have watched some movies together. I have not played a game with her yet, but I will.
  3. Read, Read, Read! I am up to 32 books out of the 100 I wanted to read this year. I am making progress but I still need to get reading. I am currently reading Recipes and Wooden Spoons (Tales from Grace Chapel Inn, Book 2)Recipes & Wooden Spoons (Tales from Grace Chapel Inn, Book 2) I did not read them in order. I got confused. I now have the Grace Chapel Inn series printed out so I read them in order from now on.  I have a bunch of Grace Chapel Inn books to read as well as finishing Emma
  4. One on One time with Christopher. Not Done
Well that is  for Not Done 6,  Done 7, and  Partly Done 2. Way better than last week. More things done than not done.

  1. Get my Blast From The Past post done and scheduled so it posts first thing tomorrow morning. Come back and see my family photos and link up.

  3. Post reviews due for TOS.
TOS Homeschool Crew Goals (I am not on the crew any more but have to finish up my responsibilities... 4 review)
  1. Play Flea Circus with my family again. Try and get my hubby and daughter Jessica to join us. The review is Due by Wed. noon.
  2. Play Civilize This... our other review item... also a game... it looks fun. The review is due by Friday.
  3. Keep doing  Rooted and Grounded for Bible. Review due later this month. This is my very last product review for TOS.
Personal/Other Goals
  1. Keep up with the Fearlessly Feminine Challenge 2011, wearing dresses/skirts every day this week and posting photos of myself.
  2. Comment on the other Fearlessly Feminine Challenge 2011 ladies blog posts all week.
  3. Comment on all the other GPM ladies posts. Keep track of their names with links here so I know whose I have done.
  4. Time with my mom. We will especially be spending time together on Sunday since I will be staying home with her while my family goes to church and then to our yearly Church picnic. Mom hasn't been to church for almost a year and she couldn't make the picnic because she would not be comfortable and the bathrooms are up the hill and they are port-a-potties. She will be watching tennis most of the day though so I should get a lot done.
  5. Read, Read, Read! I am up to 32 books out of the 100 I wanted to read this year. I am making progress but I still need to get reading. I am currently reading Recipes and Wooden Spoons (Tales from Grace Chapel Inn, Book 2)Recipes & Wooden Spoons (Tales from Grace Chapel Inn, Book 2)  I need to also finish reading Emma. I have a bunch of Grace Chapel Inn books checked out of the library as well as the next Daughters of Fortune book by Judith Pella. I need to get them read before they are due back at the library.
  6. One on One time with Christopher. Plan to do that today if he can get his schoolwork finished soon enough.
Well that is this week's Goals. I did better last week than the week before but I am still not making as much progress as I was. This week should be even better than last week. Now to post this and get on with accomplishing my goals.

He, he, he, I love your clapping smiling face! Congrats on getting more done than not done. It gets really hard when you start making a lot of goals for the week, doesn't it?

I'd love to wear more skirts (can't do dresses so well with the nursing) as it makes me feel so my nicer but I have a hard time finding things in my size. Lots bigger and lots smaller. I'm average size and I don't know why I can't find anything long enough at the Salvation Army that I can wear.

I hope the rest of the week with your Mum goes well.

Have a great week.
