FOR TODAY... Monday 09/07/09
Outside my window... mostly cloudy, chance of rain later, breezy and kinda cool.
I am thinking... I am grateful for a day off of school, 30 days of school done (6 weeks) and 150 days to go.
I am thankful for... a loving husband
From the learning rooms... History: Lorenzo de' Medici, Ferdinand, Isabella and the Spanish Inquisition. Science: more Christian Kids Explore Physics and Nutrition 101 both review items for TOS Homeschool Crew. Bible: Grapevine, Isaac and Jacob. And the other normal homeschool stuff like Math, Grammar, Writing...
From the kitchen... ???
I am wearing... blue Capri's, coral top, bare feet
I am creating... a long blog post about my favorite how to homeschool articles and homeschool encouragement articles. Also, a website of my own which I am creating using the Web Design for Kids (... and Curious Grown-ups!) that our family reviewed for TOS Homeschool Crew.
I am going... no where today, I may be taking Rachel to a specialist this week for her thyroid. It is greatly enlarged, though they saw no sign of cancer. We will see what the specialist says needs to be done next.. maybe more tests.
I am reading... The Stones Cry Out by Sibella Giorello
I am hoping... to go see a show at Sight and Sound... they have discount tickets available for homeschoolers the week we have vacation, The kids want to go bad enough that they are willing to each pay for their own ticket.
I am hearing... Chronicles of Narnia movie playing on my computer (I have my headphones on) and dh talking to his brother on the phone in the background.
Around the house... lots of cleaning and organizing to be done... as usual.
One of my favorite things... vacation days (national holidays and vacation days with my family, hubby taking a week off later this month).
A few plans for the rest of the week: homeschooling, blogging, organizing, cleaning, and some fun in there somewhere... with my family.
Here is picture thought I am sharing...
I am looking forward to the fall days ahead. I already saw some leaves changing colors on the way to church yesterday. Spring is my favorite season but fall is my second favorite. This picture was taken by someone in our family in fall 2007, not sure which of us, probably Jessica is has her artistic eye... see the reflection of the bridge in the water.
Peggy will be starting up the regular daybook next Monday. Until then you can do a last summer daybook today and join us here: http://thesimplewomansdaybook.blogspot.com/
Have a wonder filled week,
Debbie
