Blast From The Past ~ Valley Forge 1989 and 2011

This past week we took our visitors from Texas to Valley Forge

Jessica and Sarah took a lot of photos.

I am only sharing a couple of the ones that were taken of Rachel, Jessica and I and a couple that were taken of Rachel, Jessica, Sarah, Rose and I

along with photos from the past of the girls, Court and I at Valley Forge in 1989

When I was little I used to run up and down the redoubts of Valley Forge...

now I just walk

though I did manage a little run on a small, flat section of the redoubt

Not sure if this is the same tree from the picture of 1989 or not
I thought it was but now I am not sure.
It is a cool tree though with a nice flat spot for Jessica to stand on

 

I also took pictures of the 4 girls in this tree but Jessica will post them... and many other pictures she took on her blog... after the girls leave... she does not want to spend time doing that now... she wants to spend as much time as possible with Sarah and Rose now. There will be plenty of time for correcting and posting pictures after they go home to Texas.

And I can tell you...
We will ALL be sorry to see them go!!
They have been a joy to have...
and it will be a little like loosing 2 daughters.
