Time to write some goals and strive to accomplish them this coming week??

after you read my goals.
Goal Planning Monday has a new home - the banner above will take you to the new home for Goal Planning Monday @ Real Life Unscripted even though it says it is @ mamamanuscripts. I changed the link to send you to the new place.
A pretty good week. Nothing else to say really.
My Goals from last week and how I did:
Spiritual Goals
- Devotions daily - How People Change and How People Change Study Guide: How Christ Changes Us by His Grace. Partly Done - I missed one day of devotions, not bad.
- Listen to Godly Music Daily. Partly Done
- Pray daily. Partly Done
- Read some of My Utmost for His Highest before bed at night. Done
- Have a fun NOT back-to-school day of games and playing on the
Wii TODAY as the public school kids go back to school. We usually do a
field trip but we don't have the money or gas to go anywhere so a fun
day at home is what we will do instead of book work. Done - We played:
The Game of Pilgrim's Progress
- A great game. No questions here just move around the board and try to
be the first to get to the Celestial City. Familiarity with the story
is a help in understanding the spaces on the board, but is not
necessary to being able to play. See my Board Games for School - Bible post for more Bible Games to play.
We also played Knights and Castles - Players must move three knights around the board and back to the player's home spot in a manner similar to Parcheesi. "Dubbing spots" are safe spots in the corners of the board and are used in an advanced game as places to raise your pawns from Page to Squire to Knight by answering medieval themed trivia questions. Multi-level play for Ages 6 and over. The boys love this game and we play often studying Medieval times and occasionally when we are studying other time periods. Since it was only Christopher and I playing we used all 3 knights, most of the time when playing with a larger group we only use 2 knights because this game can take a loooong time. If you would like to see the other History games we have and play check out my Board Games for School - History post. I have other Board Games posts if you would like to see them check out my Games label. After we played these board games we played on the Wii. We played Wii Sports - tennis, golf, frisbee, and bowling. Then we played Wii Party. It was a FUN day. The only thing I missed was some special snacks.
- Complete all of school. That means getting Christopher to do all 12 workboxes every day. The only way to do that is to make sure he brings his computer to my bedroom each evening so he has to do all his work and have me check it before he gets his laptop back. Done
- Log Christopher's work into the log DAILY. Not Done - I am behind in logging in his work, but plan to catch up today.
- Comment on the ladies blogs that link up to Goal Planning Monday. Partly Done - I commented at Our Hostesses Blog @ Real Life: Unscripted. I thought I also commented on Christi's link, but it turns out I never did, sorry Christi.
- Post reminders to my friends/blog readers about Think Back Thursday on Wed., on Facebook groups especially. Remind them of this week's theme. Also post next month's themes so my readers can work ahead. Done
- Post Think Back Thursday. Done
- Comment on each person's post that links up for Think Back Thursday. Done
- Keep up with the Not Back-to-School Blog Hop. Get last week's photo and this week's Day-in-the-life posted. Not Done - I just gave up on getting this done.
- Also make some time to comment on some blogs of the Not Back-to-School Blog Hop. Not Done
Personal/Other Goals
- Turn off the computer between 9 and 9:30. Get back to getting to bed earlier. Done
- Read. Done
- Exercise at least 1 or 2 times. My lower back has been hurting me as well as my knees. I need to exercise. I need to loose weight but that is hard with our financial situation. Exercise, however is something I can and should still do. Done
- Work on History Plans that I hope to sell some day, it has been a few weeks and I want to keep working on them. Done
- Work on logging books into Book Collector. Done
- Work on a craft of some kind... scrapbook, digital scrapbook, cross-stitch... Not Done
- Start looking at things I can do for Christmas gifts and ornaments (I make an ornament for each person in my immediate family each year for Christmas). Not Done

Sounds like a great not back to school day! I don't know what we are going to do this year. We normally hike but we took an afternoon at the beach last week so I'm not sure my husband will be able to take the day off like our normal tradition.
ReplyDeleteOne of my goals is to link up to your Think Back Thursday so I am sure I will see you again soon!
Have a great week!
I tried to find that Pilgrim's Progress game and it is selling for $75.00 on Amazon. I just thought you'd like to know what a valuable game you have.
