Thankful... Day 10

http://zaazu.com
Today I am thankful for books.

I am thankful for old books

 and new books
 books for me

and books for school

books from Delaware Surplus for only 5 cents a piece

 books from local homeschoolers,
especially old hardback Landmark books which I am trying to collect,

and books from Library sales which cost $5 a bag
and you can stuff as many in that bag as you can get
and they can stick out the top even
and you come home with so many treasures that the public library is getting rid of.
Because I stuffed so many in that bag the books ended up costing 12 cents a piece.

 There are history books
and fiction books and music books.
 (Delaware Surplus)

I like old books better than most new books, but
I really like new copies of books that are reprints of old books.
 Historical Fiction books
and
 Science books

and books for studying movies for English class

 cook books
that tie fiction books to learning
http://zaazu.com
and fiction books for me to read just for fun.

I like all kinds of books and I don't have room to put all my books on my shelves.
We have at least one bookcase in every room in the house except the bathroom.
I have books in boxes and tubs in my bedroom and in the hallway and in the basement.
I have a box of Christmas books in the attic.

I am also thankful for my wonderful husband who allows me to buy all these wonderful books,
and provides what he can to enrich our children's lives through books,
for our homeschooling
and for enjoyable reading.

AND since that is still not enough books

we borrow some from the library
like this one we read a couple weeks ago.
We loved this book.
I want a copy to own now.

I have not purchased any books for a while.
I think it is time for a trip to Delaware Surplus
to see if they have any new, old books that I want.

  1. Oooh, me too, me too! *grin* I don't care about too many material things, but I do love my books. My husband just doesn't understand why I need so many. My daughters are inheriting my love of books, too.
