The Homeschool Mother's Journal and Weekly Wrap-Up
In our homeschool this week…
Christopher read A Narrative of a Revolutionary Soldier, The American Revolution, 1775-83: A British View, Washington and the Revolution (North star books), and American Revolution (First Books--America at War) for History
For Science he continued working on the songs and text of Lyrical Life Science (link to Rainbow Resource... you can buy the pieces on Amazon... but only seperately)
He started reading Parents and Children: The Role of the Parent in the Education of the Child (Homeschooler Series) by Charlotte Mason Charlotte Mason's Original Homeschooling Series [the first link goes to the book on Amazon, the second link goes to the complete series on Kindle which at the time of this posting was on sale for $0.99] Christopher is reading this for a class I require all my high school children to do. We call it EF for Educational Foundations. I am ashamed to say he is reading these and I have had plans to read them for years and keep putting it off. Maybe his reading them will get me moving to read them also.
For Bible Christopher is using Dallas Bible Study Course - Old Testament
In Language Arts Christopher is studying the Fellowship of the Rings using a free online study guide - Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring Study Guide He is also doing the Easy Grammar Plus Workbook. He is almost done it finishing it faster than any of my first 3 children, in less than 3 years.

I’m praying for…
Wisdom. I have been reading and studying Proverbs this year. I am also reading The Richest Man Who Ever Lived: King Solomon's Secrets to Success, Wealth, and Happiness with my hubby. The book suggested reading Proverbs through each month... 31 chapters, a chaper a day + a couple on shorter months. I have been learning a lot and trying to practice what I learn.
