Goal Planning Monday has a new home - the banner above will take you to the new home for Goal Planning Monday @ Real Life Unscripted even though it says it is @ mamamanuscripts. I changed the link to send you to the new place.
Disappointed in myself this week, especially with my spiritual goals. I skipped devotions because I did not make them a priority and do them first. I let other things get in my way. I also forgot to comment on the other ladies posts for Goal Planning Monday. I hate that. I love comments on my blog and need to take the time to comment on other blogs in order to cultivate a loyal readership and online friendships. I do think I really need an overhaul on how many blogs I am following though. It is getting ridiculous and I don't really do a good job of following any of them since I have too many. That is something I want to ponder more this week, then work on as I have time. Also, one reason I am not getting as much done is I haven't written my goals down on paper the last few weeks. I need to do that to accomplish more. It keeps me more accountable and I have a place to check off things I have accomplished daily and weekly. That is priority one today, after I get this posted I will be copying my goals to my Mom's Home Journal pages.
My Goals from last week and how I did:
Spiritual Goals
- Devotions daily - Reading I Timothy. Partly Done - I only did devotions 3 days.
- Read The Resolution for Women and apply it to my life. I just started the book today. Partly Done - I read 3 sections.
- Listen to Godly Music Daily. Partly Done
- Pray daily. Partly Done
- Read some of My Utmost for His Highest before bed at night. Done
- Complete all of school. That means getting Christopher to do all 12 workboxes every day. The only way to do that is to make sure he brings his computer to my bedroom each evening so he has to do all his work and have me check it before he gets his laptop back. Done
- Log Christopher's work into the log DAILY. Partly Done - I did not log in Friday's work yet. I will do that today along with today's work.
- Comment on the ladies blogs that link up to Goal Planning Monday. Not Done
- Post reminders to my friends/blog readers about Think Back Thursday on Wed., on Facebook groups especially. Remind them of this week's theme and future themes as well so they can work ahead. Not Done I forgot to do this last week...
- Post Think Back Thursday. Done - ...but I did get the post up. It was late however. I want to plan ahead this week and have the post for Think Back Thursday scheduled ahead.
- Comment on each person's post that links up for Think Back Thursday. Done
- Post letter B for Blogging Through the Alphabet. Done - I want to get it done earlier this week. I have to pick a topic for the letter C.
- Write a post that is NOT linked to a meme. Not Done I have one I was working on but did not complete or post it.
Personal/Other Goals
- Turn off the computer between 9 and 9:30. Get back to getting to bed earlier. Partly Done - some days I turned it off early some days not so much. For instance I know it was almost 11 last night when I turned of the computer. Oh well, some days is better than no days.
- Read. Done - I need to read more.
- Exercise at least 1 or 2 times. My lower back has been hurting me as well as my knees. I need to exercise. I need to loose weight but that is hard with our financial situation. Exercise, however is something I can and should still do. Not Done I need to make this a priority.
- Work on a craft of some kind... scrapbook, digital scrapbook, cross-stitch... Done - finished the cross stitch bib for my great-great nephew to come.
- Start looking at things I can do for Christmas gifts and ornaments (I make an ornament for each person in my immediate family each year for Christmas). Done- I have not made a final decision but I have looked and narrowed it down. I also need to do a craft gift for each person because we have NO money for gifts this year. I have started looking for things for that as well.
- Work on a brand new writing project. An idea for a picture book for children. Will be an e-book, at least to start. I will write it, hubby, hopefully, will illustrate it. Not Done
In addition I logged books into book collector, which is a long-term goal of mine and has been on my weekly goals in the past. This week I did not schedule it in my goals but I did some so I am adding it in.
Also, since my hubby cleaned his side of the room I have been working on cleaning up and putting away stuff that has piled up on my side.
My goals for this coming week:
Spiritual Goals
- Devotions daily - Reading I Timothy.
- Read The Resolution for Women and apply it to my life. The applying takes more time than the reading.

- Romantic dinner in our bedroom for hubby and I. Afterward we will watch a movie in our bedroom and/or play a game. I will need to clean up the "stuff" in front of the closet and then later set up the card table and decorate. I am looking forward to this. Hubby and I have not been able to afford to go out and do anything, so this is time for us to spend together and better than nothing.
That's my goals for this week!! Do you have any goals? You should. You will get a lot more done if you think about what you want to accomplish with your week. Post your goals and link up. The button at the top will take you to the meme and you can join up with us.

I am the same way with commenting on blogs! There's way too many that I follow to comment on all of them, but I try to comment on a few regularly (like yours, since we do a couple of the same memes!) and at least say hello occasionally on many of the others.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for linking up each week, Debbie! It means a lot to me to have you there and I am glad that it helping you meet your goals.
ReplyDeleteWe all have weeks where we don't do as well. I only have ONE goal this week and I'm not even doing that well on it, so far.
I will be trying to link up tomorrow for your Think Back Thursday. I love it because I always take so many pictures with blog posts in mind. Then I never get around to posting. I'm hoping to change that but I do have a lot of old pictures that still need posting!
Have a great rest of the week, my friend.
