Goal Planning Monday ~ Week 45

Time to write some goals and strive to accomplish them this coming week??

Join us by clicking on the button above...
after you read my goals.

This was a pretty good week. I did well in everything except exercise and healthy eating. I started my goal update but my sleepless night Sunday night and my computer not linking to the Internet kept me from posting.

My Goals from last week and how I did:

Spiritual Goals
  1. Keep up with reading the Bible in a Year. Done
  2. Read Power of a Praying Wife and leave hubby a note for each chapter I read. He needs the extra prayers and encouragement. http://zaazu.com  Done
  3. Read Chapter 6 of God's Priorities for Today's Woman for Ladies Bible Study on Friday. Done
  4. Read as much as possible of the new books I got for our Sunday School study. How People Change and How People Change Study Guide: How Christ Changes Us by His Grace I am behind because I got my book late. I want to keep up with the current chapters and catch up as much as possible when I am able to do extra work. Done
Homeschool Goals
  1. Homeschool all week and get the boys back to doing all 12 workboxes. Not Done The boys did school but not all 12 workboxes. I did not keep up with their school because of the stress I had last week. Hopefully even though this coming week and next will also be stressful and full of activity outside the home I can keep up with their work and make sure they get it all done.
  2. Watch Emma for Movies as Literature. Done
  3. Keep up with grading and recording the homeschool stuff this week. Done
Blog Goals
  1. I want to work on all the Blast From The Past posts for Dec. and have them all ready to go way ahead so it is a pleasure to do them and not so much of a chore. Not Done Decided to skip this until after Christmas. Then I will evaluate and decide if I want to continue doing BFTP since no one is joining me.
  2. Work on, and get posted, a post that is not a meme. I am especially trying to work on posts about games we use(d) for school. I wanted to get them up in time for my readers to use them for ideas for Christmas gifts. Not Done
  3. Post the last 2 days of the 30 Days of Thanksgiving / Gratitude Challenge. Done
Personal/Other Goals
  1. Comment on all the other GPM ladies posts. Keep track of their names with links here so I know whose I have done. Done I commented at our hostesses blog @ Mama Manuscripts, on Cristi's blog @ Through the Calm and Through the Storm, and on Sarah's Blog @ Growing For Christ
  2. Read, Read, Read! I am making progress on my read 100 books in a year goal but I still need to read a bunch more. I am now reading Slices of Life (The Tales from Grace Chapel Inn Series #13). I don't think I will make 100 books but I will not quit. I have more Chapel Hill Inn series library books to read after that. I just love these books. Thanks again to the Holman family for buying me my first copy and introducing me to the series. Done I finished Slices of Life and I am now on chapter 15 of the Midsummer Melody, the next book in the series.
  3. Choose a Christmas decoration for this year for the family. I make an ornament each year for each child, my husband and I. I need to choose what to do for this year. Done
  4. Take Hubby to have 2 medical tests done on 2 different days. Done
  5. Work on new Advent calendar with dd Rachel. Done
For this week that is 12 Done, 0 Partly Done, and 3 Not Done.

Homeschool Goals
  1. Homeschool all week giving the boys their assignments since I have to take my hubby to many appointments this week.
  2. Keep up with grading and recording the homeschool stuff this week.

  2. Post weekly for the Advent Challenge.
Personal/Other Goals
  1. Comment on all the other GPM ladies posts. Keep track of their names with links here so I know whose I have done.
  2. Read, Read, Read! I am making progress on my read 100 books in a year goal but I still need to read a bunch more. I am now reading Midsummer Melody (The Tales from Grace Chapel Inn Series #8) I know I will not make 100 books but I will not quit. I have read all the Tales from Grace Chapel Hill books that I currently have out of the library and I have a lot of appointments to take my hubby to this week. After I finish Midsummer Melody I will be reading one of my Janette Oke series. I have to pick the series I want to read and find them this afternoon because hubby has a test tomorrow and I could be there 4 hours or more. I need light, easy reading to keep me interested.
  3. Take Hubby to have 4 Dr. visits/medical tests on 3 different days.
I am not putting a lot of goals up this week. #1 goal is to take care of hubby and go with him/bring him home from all his appointments this week. I should also get a lot of reading done sitting in many, many waiting rooms.

How about you? Do you have any goals for the week? Post your goals and link up. The button at the top will take you to the meme and you can join up with us.
