Goal Planning Monday ~ Week 43

Time to write some goals and strive to accomplish them this coming week??

Join us by clicking on the button above...
after you read my goals.

This was a pretty good week. I did well in everything except exercise and healthy eating. I started my goal update but my sleepless night Sunday night and my computer not linking to the Internet kept me from posting.

My Goals from last week and how I did:

Spiritual Goals
  1. Catch up in my Reading the Bible in a Year. Done
  2. Read Power of a Praying Wife and leave hubby a note for each chapter I read. He needs the extra prayers and encouragement. Homeschool Goals. Not Done
  3. Read Chapter 5 of God's Priorities for Today's Woman for Ladies Bible Study on Friday. I don't want to wait 'til the last minute for this in case I have to lead the Bible Study. Done
  4. Read as much as possible of the new books I got for our Sunday School study. How People Change and How People Change Study Guide: How Christ Changes Us by His Grace We are starting lesson 6 and I just got my book last week. If I read 2 chapters I will count that as done. I will catch up eventually. My problem is do I read the chapter we should be doing this coming Sunday, ch. 6, and then chapter 1; or do I just read chapter 1 and 2. I think I like the first option better. There is also homework in the study guide. Done
Homeschool Goals
  1. Keep homeschooling and make sure the boys do all 12 workboxes every day or no computer time. Not Done
  2. Read aloud to the boys... this counts toward my 100 books in a year goal. Not Done
  3. Compile the hours that the boys have done for each subject of school so far this year so they know how much they have accomplished and how much more they need to do.... especially important for Nathan because he is graduating this year. Priority 1 this week. Done
Blog Goals
  1. I want to work on all the Blast From The Past posts for Nov. and have them all ready to go way ahead so it is a pleasure to do them and not so much of a chore. Once Nov. is done I want to do Dec. too. Not Done
  2. Work on, and get posted, a post that is not a meme. Not Done
  3. Post daily for the 30 Days of Thanksgiving / Gratitude Challenge. Done
Personal/Other Goals
  1. Comment on all the other GPM ladies posts. Keep track of their names with links here so I know whose I have done. Partly Done I posted a comment for Katrina @ Mama Manuscripts. I wanted to go back and post on the others but I never did. Hopefully I will do better this week.
  2. Read, Read, Read! I am making progress on my read 100 books in a year goal but I still need to read a bunch more. I am now reading Home for the Holidays: Tales from Grace Chapel Inn series. I don't think I will make 100 books but I will not quit. I ordered some books from the library from the Chapel Hill Inn series and 2 have come in and one more is on the way. Done
  3. Clean the house because of #5 and 6. Done
  4. Ladies Bible Study on Friday. Done
  5. My friend Michele is coming over after Ladies Bible Study. Done
  6. My friend Becky is coming for dinner Friday and staying until before church on Sunday. Saturday will be spent entertaining her. This is our last chance to see her before she goes back to Mexico after Christmas. Friday will be a busy day. Done
For this week that is 10 Done, 1 Partly Done, and 5 Not Done.

My goals for this coming week:
Spiritual Goals
  1. Keep up with reading the Bible in a Year.
  2. Read Power of a Praying Wife and leave hubby a note for each chapter I read. He needs the extra prayers and encouragement. Homeschool Goals.
  3. Read as much as possible of the new books I got for our Sunday School study. How People Change and How People Change Study Guide: How Christ Changes Us by His Grace I am behind because I got my book late. I want to keep up with the current chapters and catch up as much as possible when I am able to do extra work.
Homeschool Goals
  1. Homeschool today and tomorrow. Taking Wed. - Fri. off for Thanksgiving break.
  2. Plan next week's homeschool.
Blog Goals
  1. I want to work on all the Blast From The Past posts for Nov. and have them all ready to go way ahead so it is a pleasure to do them and not so much of a chore. Once Nov. is done I want to do Dec. too.
  2. Work on, and get posted, a post that is not a meme. I am especially trying to work on posts about games we use(d) for school. I wanted to get them up in time for my readers to use them for ideas for Christmas gifts.
  3. Post daily for the 30 Days of Thanksgiving / Gratitude Challenge.
Personal/Other Goals
  1. Comment on all the other GPM ladies posts. Keep track of their names with links here so I know whose I have done.

I don't think I will make 100 books but I will not quit. I have more Chapel Hill Inn series library books to read after that. I just love these books. Thanks again to the Holman family for buying me my first copy and introducing me to the series.
