Homeschool Mother's Journal ~ July 22

The Homeschool Mother's Journal

In my life this week…
Lots of work on homeschooling, we start school on Monday...
and VBS every evening. I was helping with crafts and so was dd Jessica. Rachel and Nathan each had a group of kids they were responsible to take around to the different stations. Rachel had Pre-K to 1st and Nathan had 2nd and 3rd graders. It was a fun and tiring week.

Places we’re going and people we’re seeing…
going to church on Sunday and this week is Growth Group
I don't have plans to go anywhere else.

My favorite thing this week was…
working with the preschool class for crafts at VBS

Questions/thoughts I have…
all my thoughts are on final plans for school on Monday. I am not ready but I am starting anyway.

Things I’m working on…
planning school for Monday is all I am working on...
I need to:
  • do my weekly workbox plan
  • get the classroom ready, especially the workboxes
  • decide what to do for Bible
  • choose an artist to study and print pictures
  • choose a composer to study
  • choose the first hymn to study
  • choose the first poem of the year for our poetry study
  • get my school log book ready by printing pages for it
  • I am sure there are other things I am forgetting...
I’m reading…
  • Back Home Again by Melody Carlson... my daughters, Rachel and Jessica, had friends visit in June. Their family gave me this book as a gift.I am on chapter 6 and it is really good so far.
  • Will be reading How to Have a H.E.A.R.T. For Your Kids it is my first review item for the TOS crew for this my 3rd year.
I’m cooking…
I have no idea... I need to plan my meals for next week

I’m praying for…
My hubby...
still working on praying through The Power of a Praying Wife
