Well, I will be joining back up with the Fit Mommy Friday now that the holidays are over and my sinus infection is better... not totally gone but good enough that I feel like exercising again.
Also this will help me stay on track for the new year in my goals of fitness/exercise/diet.
I am supposed to choose a level... I have chosen...
Level One: The Beginner level. This is for those of you who are brand new to exercise or for those who are not already participating in a consistent fitness program. Your goal should include at least 1 mild form of exercise per day (walking, low impact cardio) as well as one nutritional goal; drinking 8 glasses of water per day, keeping a food journal, eating a small salad with dinner, no chocolate for the week (did I say that?), etc.I have not really been counting points for weight watchers this past week but I have been watching what I eat and adding in more fruits and veggies. I also ate some left over candy I had from Christmas but no more than a couple pieces a day. I, also, still need to work on making sure I get enough water. I remember someone on their blog saying that they put rubber bands on their water cup to help them keep track of water intake... maybe I will try that.
The best thing about this week is that I worked out on the Wii Fit at least 40 minutes on Tues, Wed., and today. Burning over 200 calories each day. Yesterday, Thursday, I worked out, but not as long or as strenuously, but that is ok. At least I did something... that is a real improvement. Today I did the best of all the day so far. I have lost 3.6 lbs since I weighed myself before exercising on Tuesday... the Wii Fit weighs you each day you get on and exercise. Now the Wii Fit only counts the actual time you are exercising... not the time in between when you are choosing an exercise to do or getting things set up. So 40 minutes of exercise takes almost an hour.
I did try my new Biggest Loser Wii Game one day... it is way to advanced for me right now... I was dying on the 2nd out of 3 circuits. But, with regular exercise I hope to feel up to tackling it again soon. For now I will content myself with the Wii Fit... I love it actually. The choice of exercises... Aerobics, Stretching, Muscle Building, Balance, and fun extras. It is fun to try and beat the scores my children have posted... but I try and remember the important thing is the exercising and loosing weight... not getting the highest score.
My exercise goal for next week is to work out on the Wii Fit everyday.
My nutritional goal for next week is to track my points and strive to drink my 8 8-ounce glasses of water each day. In order to track my points I need to makes sure I have the foods I like to eat on Weight Watchers... so that means a trip to the grocery store... hopefully tomorrow.
