Do you want to be on the TOS Homeschool Crew for next school year?
How would you like to get free curriculum for next year for school. First requirement... you must be homeschooling next year. Head over to the TOS crew info page to find out about becoming a member of the awesome crew I belong to. You will need to fill out a survey first, then if selected-you will receive further information on how to continue the process.
I am going to do a second year. We talked it over as a family. We will be on the Jr. High/Sr. High Crew. There will also be a Preschool/Elementary year. There will be over 100 crew members for each of the crew's. I am hoping that being on the Jr. High/Sr. High Crew will mean I don't get any preschool/elementary products at all. I know that this year was better with that than last year but there were still a couple of products that did not fit us age wise and I am hoping the two crews will prevent this problem.
Remember this is no picnic. There are reviews to write about each product. There are deadlines for these reviews. This is a serious undertaking. The reputation of the company you will "work" for is at stake. You do not get paid for this position, but you do get the products. They guarantee the companies paying them and giving us the products a certain # of reviews. So you have to keep on track. That is hard at the beginning and easier as the year goes on. You do not have to have a blog but have to have a way to get the word out. They do not guarantee the companies that all the reviews will be positive, we are to give an honest review, but we try to do it diplomatically, others may like what some do not. There are the benefits though...you get to try out a lot of cool, sometimes brand new, products. Some of which you get to keep...forever, you don't get to keep most of the online memberships, though they sometimes offer the crew members a discount if they want to keep a membership going longer.
You can also leave a comment if you have any questions you may have. I will do my best to answer them for you, or ask the leadership if I don't know.
